Thousands of Moroccans took to the streets on Sunday in the capital Rabat to condemn the Zionist genocidal aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and demand an end to normalization, under the slogan: « The Moroccan people call with one voice: Stop the extermination war… Stop normalization. »

The protesters, draped in the Palestinian national emblem and wearing keffiyehs, filled the streets from the early hours of the morning in response to the call from the Moroccan Front for Support to Palestine and Against Normalization. The Front had urged the Moroccan people to participate massively in the popular march in support of Palestine and to express their opposition to all normalization agreements concluded by Rabat with the Zionist entity.

Slogans in support of Palestine and the Palestinian resistance, fighting for freedom and independence, echoed through the crowd, such as « Long live Palestine, » « Gaza, a symbol of pride, » « We are all Gazans, » and « Victory for Palestine. »

The protesters also reiterated their demands to put an end to normalization and cancel all agreements against the will of the Moroccan people, who reject any relationship with the occupying Zionist entity. Extended chants resounded: « The people want to abolish normalization, » « Palestine is a sacred commitment, normalization is betrayal, » and « No to normalization, Palestine is not for sale. »

The Moroccan Front emphasized that this march takes place in the context of the ongoing genocide and destruction perpetrated by the Zionist entity against Palestine, the disregard shown by the international community for UN resolutions concerning war crimes and crimes against humanity faced by Palestine, its people, and its land, as well as the crimes of ethnic cleansing.

In the same vein, it noted the insistence of the Makhzen regime on continuing its relations and military agreements with the terrorist Zionist entity. In this context, it stated that normalization is destined to disappear, as happened in 2000, and that the Moroccan people have expressed their principled position on the Palestinian issue through several marches, considered as « a popular referendum rejecting the shameful and dishonorable agreement signed by the Moroccan regime three years ago. »

The Moroccan Front for Support to Palestine and Against Normalization also called for maintaining popular mobilization and intensifying protest actions to abolish normalization. In this regard, it called for organizing festivals, marches, and regional activities, encouraging the Moroccan people to be always ready to oppose normalization, boycott Zionist and Western products, and support Palestinian resistance and legal actions at both local and international levels with the aim of punishing the usurping Zionist entity.

It is noteworthy that demonstrations and marches have continued in Morocco since October 7th to denounce the genocidal aggression of the Zionist entity against Gaza and its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, while reaffirming the will of the Moroccan people to end normalization. In a statement, the Moroccan Instance for Support to the Causes of the Ummah reported the organization of a hundred demonstrations in 56 cities of the kingdom on this 11th Friday of « anger, » marked by the massive turnout of Moroccans to condemn Zionist crimes against civilians throughout Palestine and express their opposition to normalization with the criminal Zionist entity.

Morocco has signed Abraham Deal in exchange of a recognitions of its sovereignity on Western Sahara territory.
