The pandemic in the Maghreb region: should Europe be worried?

According to figures reported to the WHO, the spread of Covid-19 in the Maghreb region has so far been relatively limited, with infection and death rates considerably lower than those experienced in Europe. The highest infection rates are in Algeria and Morocco, though on a per capita basis, both are less than 10% that of the EU.
