The impact of Covid-19 on the Maghreb region

Libya, a country at war and the center of a conflict aggravated by the interference of regional and international powers, could soon be the most punished country in the region by the coronavirus because of its weak health system in the war current context and the influx of flights and military personnel from abroad. Youssef Cherif, a Maghreb-based political analyst and director of the Columbia Global Centers (Tunis), offered an overview of the impact of the coronavirus on the Maghreb during a video-conference today organised by the IEMed.
