Ross sought the assistance of an NGO infiltrated by Moroccan DGED

Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is an international NGO which purpose is to end violent conflicts by special pacific approaches. As indicated on its web, its « mission is to transform the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches, toward cooperative solutions ».
It was commissioned by Secretary General Personal Envoy for Western Sahara Christopher Ross to hold discussions with some large institutions and experts to prepare recommendations to him before December 16th 2010 date of the resumption of negotiations in Manhasset. A first meeting of an expert group was held in Washington on December 7 and 8.
However, its President had direct links with the Moroccan Yassine Mansouri and among its board members was Ahmed Charai. He made lobbying missions to Morocco in the Western Sahara issue. All emails he received from SFCG were transferred to the mailbox of Mourad El Ghoul, alias Karim Karimi, chief of staff of Yassine Mansouri, the boss of the Moroccan DGED.
In its lobbying, Charai used the platform of NGOs to convey messages praising the regime of King Mohammed VI in full Arab Spring storm.
Ahmed Charai posts drawed the attention of Ambassador Ross to the Moroccan presence within the NGO. This led him to ask Mr. Marks stop « writing on Western Sahara issues » because it is « not helpful » to Search’s efforts to help find a Negotiated settlement ».
Another staff member of SFCG, Sonya Reines-Djivanides also was very pressed to transmit to Charai the content of recommendations made to Ambassador Ross
Steve Utterwulghe – Vice President, search for Common Ground was also manipulated by Charai as seen on this mail :

Among the members of the NGO there is also another Moroccan very near to king counselor Taib Fassi Fihri
